Shane Carmody

Shane Carmody is a talented young competitor and instructor who has achieved remarkable success in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts at just 20 years old. His competition experience and technical knowledge make him an excellent role model for young students.

Shane has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to martial arts, winning the IBJJF European Championship as a blue belt in 2022. Now as a purple belt, he's had an outstanding 2025, winning gold at the Irish Open and dominating the Shamrock Cup by taking all four divisions entered—gold in both Gi and No-Gi divisions plus both absolute categories. He also earned silver medals at IBJJF European Championships in 2023 and 2024, showcasing consistent performance at the highest levels.

Shane competes regularly in both MMA and BJJ competitions, bringing a unique dual-discipline perspective to his teaching. He specializes in youth development and connects with younger students through his own journey in martial arts. His coaching style emphasizes modern techniques, competition preparation, and building confidence on the mats.
