Team Studio Galera at the No Gi Europeans 2025

Team Studio Galera from Bandon, West Cork showed up strong at the No Gi Europeans 2025.

The Podium Finishers

Stuart Carmody claimed gold in his division after a dominant performance throughout the tournament. Shay Carmody also took home gold, proving the quality of our adult program. Head coach Galera added a silver medal to the team's haul, fighting through tough competition to reach the finals.

But the medals only tell part of the story.

What Competition Really Tests

Not everyone gets a medal. But everyone who competes learns what they're made of. You find out what needs work. You earn respect from your teammates who know exactly how hard it is to step on those mats.

The wins matter - they validate the training, the early mornings, the sore muscles, and the dedication. But so does the courage to test yourself against the best in Europe. Every member of our team who competed walked away with something valuable, whether they stood on the podium or not.
